چرا نه در پِیِ عزمِ دیارِ خود باشم
cherā na dar pey-e ʿazm-e diyār-e khvod bāsham
cherā na khāk-e sar-e kūy-e yār-e khvod bāsham
gham-e gharībī-o ghorbat cho bar namī-tābam
be shahr-e khvod ravam-o shahriyār-e khvod bāsham
ze maḥramān-e sarāparde-ye veṣāl shavam
ze bandegān-e khodāvandgār-e khvod bāsham
cho kār-e ʿomr na peydā-st bārī ān owlā
ke rūz-e vāqeʿe pīsh-e negār-e khvod bāsham
ze dast-e bakht-e gerān-khvāb-o kār-e bī-sāmān
garam bovad gele-ī, rāz-dār-e khvod bāsham
hamīshe pīshe-ye man ʿāsheqī-o rendī būd
degar bekūsham-o mashghūl-e kār-e khvod bāsham
bovad ke loṭf-e azal rahnamūn shavad Ḥāfeẓ
vagarna tā be abad sharmsār-e khvod bāsham
