Ghazal 281 (غزل ۲۸۱) · Divan of Hafez
یا رب این نوگُلِ خندان که سپردی به مَنَش
yā rab īn now-gol-e khandān ke sepordī be manash
mī-separam be to az chashm-e ḥasūd-e chamanash
garche az kūy-e vafā gasht be ṣad marḥale dūr
dūr bād āfat-e dowr-e falak az jān o tanash
gar be sar-manzel-e Salmā rasī ey bād-e ṣabā
chashm dāram ke salāmī beresānī ze manash
be adab nāfe goshāyī kon az ān zolf-e sīyāh
jā-ye del-hā-ye ʿazīz ast be ham bar mazanash
gū delam ḥaqq-e vafā bā khaṭṭ o khālat dārad
moḥtaram dār dar ān ṭorre-ye ʿanbar-shekanash
dar maqāmī ke be yād-e lab-e ū mey nūshand
sefle ān mast, ke bāshad khabar az khīshtanash
ʿerż o māl az dar-e meykhāne nashāyad andūkht
har ke īn āb khorad rakht be daryā fekanash
har ke tarsad ze malāl andoh-e ʿeshqash na ḥalāl
sar-e mā o qadamash yā lab-e mā o dahanash
