عمر بگذشت به بیحاصلی و بوالهوسی
ʿomr begzasht be-bī-ḥāṣelī-yo bū-l-havasī
ey pesar jām-e meyam deh ke be-pīrī beresī
che shokrhāst dar īn shahr ke qāneʿ shode-and
shāh-bāzān-e ṭarīqat be-maqām-e magasī
dūsh dar kheyl-e gholāmān-e darash mī-raftam
goft ey ʿāsheq-e bīchāre to bārī che kasī
bā del-e khūn-shode chon nāfe khoshash bāyad būd
har ke mashhūr-e jahān gasht be-moshkīn-nafasī
lamaʿa l-barqu mena ṭ-ṭūri va ānastu bihī
fa-laʿallī laka ātin be-shehābin qabasī
kārvān raft o to dar khāb o biyābān dar pīsh
veh ke bas bī-khabar az gholghol-e chandīn jarasī
bāl bogshā vo ṣafīr az shajar-e ṭūbā zan
ḥeyf bāshad cho to morghī ke asīr-e qafasī
tā cho mejmar nafasī dāman-e jānān gīram
jān nahādīm bar ātash ze-pey-e khosh-nafasī
chand pūyad be-havā-ye to ze-har sū Ḥāfeẓ
