شَمَمتُ روحَ وِدادٍ و شِمتُ برقَ وِصال
shamamto rūḥa vedāden o shemto barqa veṣāl
biyā ke būy-e to rā mīram ey nasīm-e shemāl
a ḥādiyan be-jamāli l-ḥabībe qef va nzel
ke nīst ṣabr-e jamīlam ze eshtiyāq-e jamāl
ḥekāyat-e shab-e hejrān forūgozāshte beh
be shokr-e ān ke barafkand parde rūz-e veṣāl
biyā ke parde-ye golrīz-e haft khāne-ye chashm
kashīdeʾīm be taḥrīr-e kārgāh-e khiyāl
cho yār bar sar-e ṣolḥ ast o ʿozr mīṭalabad
tavān gozasht ze jowr-e raqīb dar hame ḥāl
be joz khiyāl-e dahān-e to nīst dar del-e tang
ke kas mabād cho man dar pey-e khiyāl-e moḥāl
qatīl-e ʿeshq-e to shod Ḥāfeẓ-e gharīb, valī
be khāk-e mā gozarī kon ke khūn-e māt ḥalāl
